Design
We have a clear understanding of available tools—not only what they are but how to fit them together to create your product. Let’s make sure you pack the right ones for your venture.
Do you need wifi, Bluetooth, LoRa, or cellular? Or would a combination of them work best for your product? In the design phase, we’ll help you make this decision.
Maybe you’ve already created a prototype using Arduino? During design, we’ll also perform a DFM (Design for Manufacturing) analysis. Your contract manufacturer may also be selected at this time to participate in the DFM analysis to ensure that your design can be manufactured. We’ll consider parts availability and longevity to maximize the lifespan of the product.
If you’re still in need of a functioning prototype, we can guide you through this process. We have worked with a number of prototype houses that can create the initial design or proof of concept for your product. This is essential if you are looking for venture capital for your product.
Development
We’re on our way. Once the hardware design has been determined, it’s time for software development. Penguist, LLC has 25 years of development experience on a variety of platforms from bare metal to embedded LINUX systems. We aim to ensure that the development environment is stable independent of any OS changes in the near future.
Certification
We’re almost at the summit. Your product may require FCC, CE, or Bluetooth SIG Certification before it can be released. You can rely on our knowledge to facilitate the required certifications for US/Canada and European markets. We’ve worked with several certification houses including Bureau Veritas and Intertech.
Fabrication
We’ve made it! It’s time to enjoy the view. When your product is ready for fabrication, we can assist you in finding the manufacturer that best meets your needs. We have worked with domestic and foreign manufacturers and can recommend options depending on your anticipated volumes and other factors.
